Investment opportunities are appearing in the home building industry.

No, not in the United States where home prices are nearing 10-year lows, residential construction fell 23.9% in a year and building permits slipped 4% in the latest reported month. And don't forget that U.S. residential mortgage applications dropped off by a similar percentage for the latest week despite relatively modest interest rates.

The bright spot I'm talking about is South of the Border. Latin America might now be the place to look for home building investments.
