Brazil's Telecoms Regulator Anatel Approves TEF and PT deal
Vivo Participacoes is the largest 3G WCDMA network in Brazil and expanding. Telefonica agreed to buy out Portugal's share for roughly $10 billion. It plans to merge Vivo with its Telesp unit in Brazil which, when combined, will have 69 million customers. Brazil's Telecoms Regulator Anatel Approves TEF and PT deal last week.
